Andrea Reyes was born in Eagle Pass, TX and raised in Piedras Negras, Mexico. Reyes is currently living in San Antonio, TX, as a contemporary abstract artist. She completed her degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts in the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2015.  
            Reyes works primarily with paint and gouache. Being in the present time by acting spontaneously and instinctively with moments of innocence, experimentation, and discovery is what inspires Reyes to create textural compositions with the use of mixed media.       
          In 2016, Reyes worked as an art professor at private schools in San Antonio, TX and had a solo show at Provenance Gallery in San Antonio, Texas.  She has had various group shows at San Antonio including a participation as an undergraduate student in the 31st Art Student Exhibition in the University of Texas at San Antonio Art Gallery. Reyes taught painting courses in Piedras Negras, Mexico during the summer of 2015. She participated in a BFA Group Exhibition at the University of Texas at San Antonio Art Gallery in 2015.
